A delicious Australian lamb burger made with juicy lamb, grilled to perfection and topped with pickled beets, a fried egg, and fresh veggies, served in a toasted multi-grain bun with fries and malt vinegar.
Ingredients
225g Australian lamb sirloin, ground
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon ground coriander Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 egg Butter, as needed
2 pickled red beet slices
1 multi-grain Kaiser roll (12.5cm round)
1 lettuce leaf
1 slice tomato
1 slice sweet onion Steak fries, as needed
Malt vinegar, as needed
Method
Combine lamb with garlic, coriander, salt and pepper.
Form into a 5-inch patty and grill on a wood-fired barbecue to medium rare.
Pan-fry egg sunny-side up in butter.
Toast Kaiser roll on grill.
To Serve:
Put lettuce, tomato and onion on bottom half of roll.
Lay burger on top and then beet slices and fried egg.
Plate with top bun leaning against burger and serve with fries and malt vinegar.
